if you know abit more about computers.. you will realise the only way to get the IP of people downloading from torrent is to partake in the DL itself… OH YES… u are breaking the law to find people who breaks the law… nice..
careful you know… later people sue you….

True indeed. Even if you DO partake in the downloading, it doesn’t mean you are connected to ALL the peers and seeds of the torrent.

Back to the Odex saga…
They need to get the logs of the tracker, usually they cope the whole server for evidence but must get permission from court/judge of the country where the server reside first lah. From there they can do the tracing themselves and cross reference with the ISP logs that they received.
But I think if they do this ah, can close shop already ’cause of all the $$$ needed plus the ever long tracker logs they need to go through. Anime BitTorent tracker got how many in the world you tell me?
For example they accuse you download bleach ep xxx from DB (touch wood). Let say there are 273284 completed downloads for that particular episode plus the ever changing number of uploads and downloads for that particular torrent. This is only 1 episode of the ever long list of anime titles(only god knows when they are gonna release all the them)that they have “licensed”.
Worse still if the tracker no hab logs. No evidence.
In the long run, they waste money, time, energy and the list goes on…
